Frequently asked questions
Can I lose my timetable data?
All data in NextClass is stored locally on your device. We recommend creating regular backups in Profile → On-device backup and reset. You can also export a backup to the Files app so you can restore it after switching devices or reinstalling.
I'm not receiving class reminders
Please check the following:
- Notifications are enabled in system Settings → Notifications → NextClass
- Reminders are turned on in the app under Profile → Lesson Reminders
- Your current semester date range covers today
How do I switch bell schedules?
Go to Profile → Bell Schedule and choose “Switch Bell Schedule”, then select a schedule and effective date. You can also assign different bell schedules to particular weekdays.
How do I import a timetable?
On the Schedule tab, tap the pencil at the top right to enter weekly setup, then choose “Excel Import” beside the instructions. Download the app’s template, fill it in, import it back and review the result.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Deleting the app removes all data in its sandbox, including local backups. If you previously exported a backup to the Files app, you can restore from it after reinstalling.
How do I switch between week and month views?
Use the week/month control at the top left of Schedule. The default week view shows all seven days; tap the pencil to arrange lessons. The month view is for browsing.
Do public holidays cancel lessons automatically?
No. Automatic holidays mark dates first. Lessons and activities from today onward are offered for review, and you decide whether to cancel them. Set makeup days according to your school’s arrangements.
Data & privacy
NextClass has no accounts, does not upload your personal or teaching data, and includes no ads or third-party analytics. All timetables, classes, bell schedules, and lesson notes are stored only on your device.
